Moms & COVID-19
Food Insecurity

We Love you, Moms!

We hope you all had a Mother’s Day full of love. Thank you for ALL you do to honor and support mothers and mother figures every day. Being a mom is like being a superhero under normal circumstances. We recognize the brave faces and extra strength Mothers and all parents have had to bear in recent months. Our hearts are heavy as we watch unemployment continue to rise and hear how trips to the grocery store become more of an impossibility for so many mothers each week.

In a recent report from the New York Times, nearly 41% of mothers in the U.S. with children 12 and under said, “the food that we bought just didn’t last, and we didn’t have money to get more.” This is almost twice as many moms who have found themselves in this situation than at the peak of the 2008 great recession.

How do we support mothers more during this crisis?

Our nonprofit is dedicated to finding new ways to help moms feed their kids real food during this crisis and beyond. Our school partners continue to serve millions of free meals weekly, to help alleviate the pressure of keeping kids fed during crisis. We are working to not only help them continue to safely deliver these vital meals but expand what they can offer and include food boxes to feed the whole family.

Moms and mother figures around the country are achieving what can seem impossible during this pandemic. We at Eat REAL, are making sure they know they have access to this extra support. You can help by donating today.

Your ongoing passion for helping superhero moms feed their kids nourishing food and your support of our nonprofit is so appreciated!
