The much anticipated return of #KlickIDX was an energized balance of cutting edge science & engaging human experience that culminated with an hour-long fireside chat between Klick Co-Founder and Chairman Leerom Segal and former President of the United States Barack Obama. Eat Real was grateful to participate in this inspiring event – one of the year’s top events worldwide.

The one-day thought summit, the first of its kind since 2019, was curated to explore the ideas shaping the future of health with clear lessons from the pandemic in mind. The afternoon topics ranged from The Next Frontiers of Science and What’s Now, Near and Next in Health & Biomedicine to a Conversation on Health Equity which featured Klick CEO, Lori Grant.

“There is a very human need for community” – Michael Milken

The afternoon wrapped up with a keynote from philanthropist Michael Milken that balanced big data with the very human need for community. Shortly after, the incredible Klick team mingled & welcomed many of the 500+ guests.

“Be Kind, Be Useful” – President Barack Obama

The highlight of the evening was the extended conversation with former President Obama. The wide-ranging chat included thoughtful reflections on his journey from the 2004 Democratic National Convention stage to a life post-presidency. He spoke to the expectations of upcoming generations, especially Gen Z, and the need to focus on climate change mediation. He urged the audience of leaders to invite younger generations to help remake & re-envision the institutions we now lead. And he closed with the wistful guidance he gives his daughters to “be kind and be useful,” marching orders for everyone in attendance.
