This place is incredibly good. Had brunch here with a fried chicken dish which was one of the best I've ever had. Also tried their homemade pork rinds and they slayed. Check it.
Absolutely phenomenal food. Great atmosphere, call ahead because they are always busy. Definitely one of the best Restaurants in knoxville and not that pricy.
Great coffee. My company loved the pork and black eyed peas. I had the chicken and dumplings. The flavor was amazing but it is more of a soup.
Avoid this overpriced place with pretty much generic food.
We ordered the Duck wings and croquettes for our first course. They were out standing. Then we had the catfish and chicken for our main course with the rod to share. Pana Cotta for dessert. The food was some of the best I have had in Knoxville and the atmosphere was inviting. Wait staff was coordinated and polite. Very highly recommended.
Amazing food, service, and craftsmanship! This is a fantastic farm to table restaurant that prides itself in using locally sourced products.
We've eaten here several times and it's always been a positive experience. The duck wings are phenomenal and we're always happy with our orders. We took some friends here when they were visiting and they're major foodies. They were very happy as well.
Great charcuterie platter; amazing deviled eggs. Kilts green salad was delicious. A true gem and the surprising highlight of our brief Knoxville stay! Will definitely stop here again.
Never disappoints. We eat there several times a year and it's always good. Not pretentious just fresh quality ingredients and prompt friendly service. The Benton's bacon wrapped Vidalia onions and The Derby pie with Sorghum mousse are just delicious. Entrees are all good and the portions are just right.
My wife and I came here looking for great southern food with a modern twist. They gave us this, I got the quail with the pan biscuits as a side. The quail and slaw and potato salad all went so well together, and the biscuits were perfect. My wife ordered the chicken on risotto, I'm taking a star off because the chicken came out quite undercooked. Not dangerously so, but certainly appetizingly so. The risotto was flavorful and delicious, but I can't give full marks to a restaurant that charges $16 for undercooked chicken. The prices are a bit absurd, considering what you get, but the ambiance is great and the food is good, so I guess that's what you're paying for. I would revisit the place if the prices came down a few dollars for each dish. Particularly the chicken dish.
So great for hanging out, good food. Not huge but they are nice and always helpful.
My wife and I celebrated an anniversary here the other week. It was a perfect night to sit on their back patio in the cool, quiet evening. Server was very nice, and the food was fantastic. I had quail, to try something new. My wife (a huge steak lover) had the filet. She put it in her top two steaks of all time. Highly recommended!
Great spot to eat. Amazing staff. Most of the crew here from Blackberry Farm. The food and presentation show. Enjoy.
13 years ago I ate a steak in a quaint restaurant in WV that has ruined every steak for me since. Tonight I tasted THE STEAK that topped it. The fillet is amazing! Timed slowed for a moment. It was the kind of meal that after you eat it you are afraid to eat dessert because there is no way that anything will taste as good as what you just finished. However, I had house made peach ice cream that was a great PLUS. BTW...I have 15 food allergies that was accommodated with just a minor alteration to my meal. Very friendly! Will be back and bring my peeps with me.:)
My wife has food allergies and with to no modifications she was able to order one of the best dinners we have eaten in Knoxville. The seating is a little cramped, European style, but food was excellent.
Cool, quaint, friendly. Excellent food menu, although limited in size. Cocktails to desserts, it was all good! Check this spot in downtown out!
Contrast with the Founding Farmers brunch a few weeks ago, this is the way it should have been. The service at Knox Mason was amazing. The food was spot on, the portions were appropriate if not a little extra, and the mimosa is astounding. The waiter suggested a little change in recipe for the mimosa, and was it great! The atmosphere is open while being a small setting. The grits and the red sauce were spot on, and my mom's pancakes were so tasty, even she thought they were some of the best. To top it all off, the funnel cake dashed with cinnamon sugar was oh so tasty.
Brunch food I orders was not edible. Meat had clearly turned and then been cooked. Odor from beef was very strong and awful. Didn't eat more than a bite and waitress said nothing and let us pay and leave. She never asked if I wanted another drink etc as well. We had to ask to even get silverware after food was on table. I don't return food as a former manager and bartender I believe a good restaurant will notice when something is wrong and take action. I shall never return to this place.
Great hostess, great waiting staff, the sous-chef was an ass...e and acted like he owned the place.
Exceptional restaurant, service and food are both excellent - but especially the food. Of all the restaurants in downtown Knoxville, this is certainly the best, and likely the best in the city as a whole. Catfish and Pork Blade are standouts, the pork rind appetizer is mind blowing.
We had heard to try here and had a large group. Matthew went above and beyond to get us all seated. The duck wings were amazing!! Most of our table had the filet and it was superb!! Quaint atmosphere and perfect for a meal! Will definitely be going back!
Everyone really enjoyed their entrée. We ordered the deviled eggs and the pimento cheese appetizers, and both were fantastic. The menu was varied, offering something for everyone. I really enjoyed the catfish. The staff were friendly and knowledgable about the menu. Everything from the cocktails, to the appetizers, ambiance and dessert was spot on. We will definitely be back!
