Letter from our new CEO

Dear Eat REAL Community,

There’s an urgent crisis facing our next generation. Let’s face it, we’re becoming a nation of sick people and our planet is sick. And our toxic food system is a top culprit.  I joined Eat REAL because this disastrous trend must be stopped and together we can remedy it.

I’m ALL in with Eat REAL to help move us toward collective wellness.

Through our certification program, Eat REAL raises the bar for food providers so we can trust the food we eat is REAL, better for us and our planet. It’s still early days, but I’m calling it a game changer.

Our youth are becoming the first generation in U.S. history with shorter lifespans than their parents due to diet, and we spend $3.5 trillion annually on healthcare[1]. Our broken food system generates 1/4 of planet warming greenhouse gases[2]. This is NOT ok!

The recent birth of my daughter made me clear-eyed on what I need to do to change her world. Leading Eat REAL towards even more, scalable impact gives me that opportunity.

It’s a very exciting moment for the Eat REAL movement. With our strategic focus, collaborative approach and new fundraising drive, we can significantly improve the trajectory for the next generation.

If we can raise $100,000 by June 13th, a generous donor will match it! So please donate here today. $10, $100, $1000, $10,000, $100,000 – any amount helps and it could be doubled. Email me directly to learn more: nora@eatreal.org.

Thank you for support in this new chapter.

Always Upward and Onward,
Nora LaTorre
